EDUCATIONAL AND MOTIVATIONAL

"Getting published is something no one can ever take away from you," says Erik Bean, video host. "One need not be an English teacher or grammar expert in order to do so either." 

Deadline Communications, Walled Lake, Michigan, recently announced the release of the company's new 115 minute video, "Writing for Publication," ISBN 0966516508. 

The VHS tape is divided into three segments and 22 sub-segments. Both educational and motivational it is designed to aid prospective as well as newly established freelance magazine writers in creating, refining, submitting, and selling their work.  An accompanying Website, freelanceworkshop.com, helps enhance the viewers' educational experience. 

The video is more than two years in the making and is so concise most every topic related to getting published is examined.  There is not another video like it in the marketplace! 

The overall theme is that anyone who has the desire to get published can do so.  And while the tape's market appeals to the non-collegiate, it equally complements any magazine article writing course at the most demanding journalism schools. 

Erik Bean, video host, is joined by three influential and successful internationally recognized freelance writers: Car and Driver's Csaba Csere, Michigan State University's Jim Detjen, and Publisher Len Fulton. 

Portions of the video were taped live at an Ann Arbor writing workshop.  Narrated scenes have Bean talking from inside the freelanceworkshop.com Website framed by the Netscape brand browser.

Articles ranging from marketing and tropical fish to healthcare and race relations, Bean has published them all.  He holds a Master's degree in Journalism from Michigan State University and currently teaches writing at the University of Phoenix.
