When writer's first enter the password protected "Participant Lounge" they will be greeted by a warm animated fireplace, soft music, and most importantly a wealth of tips and tools to help strengthen their articles, thus increasing the likelihood of getting them published!

Sample articles, queries, cover and follow-up letters are here!

Begin your lounge stay when you examine the full text versions of both the Dr. Swanson query letter and The Importance of Trees article (shown above) as demonstrated in the 115 minute video.  Download the straight text (included in the book) and study the original magazine guidelines (also included in the book) that led to this 2,300 word published article. Then view the suggested cover, follow-up, and query or manuscript withdrawal letters (also demonstrated in the video and book).  You can even cut and paste them to use when preparing or tracking your own work!

The best reviewed links providing a variety of reference resources!

Peruse more than 55 Links (reviewed and screened by FreelanceWorkshop.com) featuring what it believes to be the best examples of: an online dictionary, thesaurus, and cliché search, for example.  This unique Lounge features tips and tools associated with most of the 22 sub-categories found in the tape or book.  From tips on how to overcome writer's block, take better photographs, or how to more effectively prepare for an important interview,  to links discussing attribution and those that analyze United States Copyright Code, for instance, the Participant Lounge has it all!  And it's all in one easy to use online resource.

It would be difficult to find a comprehensive writer's resource like the Participant Lounge anywhere on the Net, let alone coupled with the unique samples discussed throughout the Writing for Publication 115 minute video or book!

Your User I.D. and Password accompanying the Writing for Publication Video are activated for the LIFE of this Website!   Your password will change every 90 days at which time you will need to send an e-mail with your video or book's serial number to be issued a new password.

You'll save valuable Internet time when you come to the Participant Lounge because you won't have to hunt down the writing resources you'll need as your publishing career flourishes.  And additional services and upgrades will keep the lounge a busy writer's resource for years to come.  So for a one time purchase price of $29.95 for the video or $15.99 for the book (plus a small shipping fee) you don't have much to lose.  On the other hand, you'll have a wealth of useful information to gain!

When you purchase either the $15.99 Writing for Publication 82 page paperback guide or the 115 minute VHS recording, you will receive access to the Participant Lounge.  Read the Workshop overview to become familiar with how this online training resource lets you learn at your own pace.

Please note, the Writing for Publication video or book can be used independently or in tandem.  Neither is part of an expandable educational series.  There is nothing else to purchase, ever! Additional freelanceworkshop.com Website articles, writing samples and other writing links as assembled in the Participant Lounge are available and you are encouraged to seek them out.  We've put the Lounge together for two purposes:

·  To save you valuable Internet research time

·  To help improve your non-fiction or fiction writing skills

On the other hand, if one only relied on viewing the video or reading this book, he or she would obtain enough information to begin and/or maintain a flourishing freelance writing career!  Now you can truly learn at your own pace and you don't ever have to leave the comfort of home.  The 115 minute video or 82 page paperback book only contain the most concise information needed to help you get published.  There is no jargon!  Don't take our word for it:

ACCESSING THE LOUNGE

To access go to any one of the starred lounge buttons or "Participant Lounge" links located throughout the freelanceworkshop.com site. When prompted enter your User I.D. and Password found on your video tape jacket or the copyright page of the new 82 page book.  It's that easy!  If your password should happen to expire, send us an e-mail with your video or book's serial number also located next to your User I.D. and Password.

GET YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED IN THE LOUNGE!

If you should have any questions after reviewing the tape, reading the book, or using the Participant Lounge, you can join the Q & A Newsletter*, moderated by Erik Bean, Workshop host.  You will likely receive a response to your posted e-mail question(s), usually within 48 hours.  Depending on the student load, Erik may conduct a live chat room session in lieu of the e-mailed Q and A newsletter to help disseminate answers across a broad range of participating writers.

Please use that e-mail address if you are having difficulty logging into the Participant Lounge.  Be prepared to e-mail your User I.D., Password, and book serial number (found on the copyright page) or video serial number (found on the video tape jacket).

JOIN A MODERATED DISCUSSION LIST!

E-mail support does not currently include query letter or article critiquing.  You are encouraged, however, to seek a reputable writing group in your area to have your work reviewed before submitting it for publication.  Deadline Communications reserves the right not to respond to questions and makes no warranty regarding the amount it can or will answer.

This is a free service irrespective of purchasing the Writing for Publication book or video.  Deadline Communications reserves the right to modify or discontinue this service anytime.
